Sarrazin to drive the #27 car for the remainder of the season with Andretti

With four races left in the championship, French driver Stéphane Sarrazin will jump in the #27 car of the MS&AD Andretti team, teaming up with Antonio Felix da Costa.

The Frenchman, whose last Formula E appearance was last year’s Montreal ePrix, will be back at the wheel of an electric car, as he will race in replacement of Tom Blomqvist for the remainder of the season, for American outfit MS&AD Andretti.

Sarrazin has raced in the fully-electric championship’s first three seasons, initially driving for Venturi, and later making the switch to TECHEETAH halfway through Season 3.

“I am so excited to be joining MS&AD Andretti for the rest of the ABB FIA Formula E season! Can’t wait to get started at the Berlin ePrix!”, posted Sarrazin on his Twitter, following the official announcement by the team.

The 42 year-old currently races in the LMP1 class in the World Endurance Championship for Russian SMP Racing team, and has a vast experience in sportscar racing, as well as rallying.

The team has not released any official confirmation on whether Tom Blomqvist will remain within the squad fulfilling another role or will be in Season 5, when BMW takes over the team.
