DS Virgin Racing boss Alex Tai has stepped down from his position as team principal and CEO, the team has confirmed.
Tai, who is one of the team’s founders, guided Virgin to seven Formula E victories since the series began.
A statement from the team said Tai was turning his focus to “his other business activities”.
He will continue to advise the team until the end of the season, with a new team principal expected to be announced before the start of season five.
In the meantime, Sylvain Filippi has been promoted from chief technology officer to chief operations officer and will take on responsibilities for running the team.
