Lynn faces 10-place penalty ahead of today’s race

Alex Lynn has been given a 10-place grid penalty ahead of today’s race, as his gearbox has been replaced following yesterday’s accident.

DS Virgin Racing’s Alex Lynn did not have a good start into the New York ePrix, as he had a big crash during the race. The damage his car sustained led to the team having to change the gearbox.

Therefore, the British driver has been given a 10-place grid penalty ahead of today’s race.

Lynn was running close to the Top 10 when the accident happened, aiming to score points on the circuit that saw him grab Pole Position on his first ever Formula E appearance last year.

Yellow flags and Safety Car were deployed following the hit, as his car had to be removed from the narrow section of the car it was stranded in.

The Brit has not had an easy season, but despite the penalty he has ahead of the last race of the season, he aims to finish on a high.
