Formula E announce Season Five test schedule at Valencia

ABB FIA Formula E Championship has announced the schedule for pre-season testing at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia ahead of Season Five.

The test will be the first time all the Formula E teams and drivers will be testing their Gen2 cars together, marking the beginning of a new era in the sport’s history.

Speaking earlier this month, Season Four champion Jean-Eric Vergne stated that people will be ‘shocked’ by the new cars, adding that the series had built up ‘very strong foundations’ and that he is ‘very happy to be part of the championship’.

Pre Season Testing in Valencia will take place across three days between Tuesday October 16th and Friday October 19th.

The teams and drivers will have a rest day on Thursday October 18th, with no action on track.

Each day of the test will have two three-hour sessions; the first session will start in the morning at 9am, with the second session taking place in the afternoon from 2pm.

This will provide the teams with one last chance to make any necessary changes, before the new campaign gets under away at the Ad Diriyah street circuit in Saudi Arabia on Saturday December 15th.

Testing in Valencia will also be open to members of the public and the media free of charge, with seating from grandstands being made available.

However, those who wish to attend must register their details via the Official Formula E website.
