Bueno claims Hong Kong pole in wet conditions

Jaguar Brazil Racing’s Caca Bueno will start on Pole Position for round three of the Jaguar I-Pace Trophy in Hong Kong.

The session started on a slightly damp track, with the drivers going fast quickly and saw Caca Bueno go quickest with a 1:21.203, with RLL Racing’s Bryan Sellers and Team Asia’s Simon Evans close behind.

In contrast, Bueno’s team-mate Sergio Jimenez went down the escape and would be the only driver to fail to set a time.

After ten minutes, light rainfall arrived at the track and limited everyone’s chances to improve. The red flag was then brought out after TWR Techeetah’s Stefan Rzadzinski picked up a puncture

With four minutes left on the clock, the session restarted, albeit with increased rainfall, which confirmed Bueno on Pole.

Rzadzinski ended up fourth in fourth place, ahead of championship leader Katherine Legge (RLL Racing).

Jaguar China Racing’s Yaqi Zhang pipped local guest driver Darryl O’Young to sixth, followed by the Saudi Racing pairing of Bandar Alesyai and Ahmed Bin Khanen and Celia Martin rounding up the top.
