Carroll replaces Rzadzinski at TWR Techeetah

Former Jaguar Racing Formula E driver Adam Carroll will replace Stefan Rzadzinski at TWR Techeetah for this weekend’s race in Berlin.

The 36-year-old made his Formula E debut in 2016 as Jaguar joined the electric racing championship. He finished 21st in the championship standings with two points finishes, at Mexico and New York.

“Adam brings a wealth of experience to the team and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do in the highly competitive Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy championship,” said team principal Keith Smout.

As well as Formula E, Carroll hs experience racing in IndyCar, A1 Grand Prix, and the World Endurance Championship.

“I’m excited to be back in electric racing, having played a key role in the development of Jaguar’s Formula E car when they entered the series,” he said.

“It is an honour to drive for such an iconic team as TWR, and I can’t wait to show what I can do in the Jaguar I-PACE.”

Carroll replaces Canadian driver Stefan Rzadzinski at the team. After seven rounds, Rzadzinski lies sixth in the championship standings and is the only pro-class driver yet to take an overall victory, though he did take two podium finishes.

“We’d like to thank departing driver Stefan Rzadzinski for the role he played in delivering our first podiums in the series, and wish him the very best for the future,” added Smout.
