Panis takes pole in Andorra

Aurelien Panis starts on pole for the Andorra round of the 2019-20 Andros e-Trophy.

The Enedis Audi A1 driver topped the heat stages of qualifying before finishing fourth in the Super Pole, earning a bonus three points.

Father Olivier Panis was second after the heat stages and went on to top the Super Pole session with a 45.105s time around the Andorra track. He starts alongside his son in P2.

A storm Friday afternoon cancelled the first day of running in Andorra and left difficult, slush-like track conditions for the Saturday running, which was brought forward to avoid poor weather conditions later today.

Reignign champion Jean-Baptiste Dubourg lines up third on the grid, ahead of Franck Lagorce, who missed the opening round of the championship at Val Thorens.

Nico Prost and Olivier Pernaut were the last of the drivers to make it through to the Super Pole session. Prost will line up fifth while Pernaut, who was slowest in the final qualifying stage, takes sixth.

Quentin Giordano ended the qualifying session seventh quickest and will start at the front of the final for the second half of the field.

Race winner Yann Ehrlacher took eighth ahead of Andreas Bakkerud and Benjamin Riviere.
