Ehrlacher dominates Serre Chevalier opener

Yann Ehrlacher dominated the opening Andros e-Trophy race at Serre Chevalier to close the gap at the top of the championship standings.

After launching away from the grid, Ehrlacher was untouchable throughout the race. Initially, the top three broke away from the rest of the pack, but consistent fast laps allowed Ehrlacher to quickly gap Jean-Baptiste Dubourg in second.

He finished more than 11 seconds ahead of Dubourg, who came under pressure from Olivier Panis in the closing laps.

Though he still lies third in the championship standings, Ehrlacher’s performance closes the gap to Aurelien Panis to just 26 points.

Dubourg held off Olivier Panis to take second, also closing the gap to the championship leader.

Andreas Bakkerud took P4, ahead of Aurelien Panis and Nathaneal Berthon.

In the second final, a strong start from Nico Prost initially allowed him to get alongside pole-sitter Quentin Giordano, but Giordano squeezed Prost and was able to retain the race lead.

He finished with a comfortable 3.6s gap to Prost, with Olivier Pernaut taking third.

Benjamin Riviere and Franck Lagorce completed the order.
