d’Ambrosio fastest for Mahindra in Berlin

Jerome d’Ambrosio set the fastest time in the second practice session after a late flying lap in the Mahindra.

The Belgian driver set a 1m06.723s to go quicker than Maximilian Guenther in the BMW with DS Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne, Nissan’s Sebastien Buemi and Nyck de Vries rounding out the top 5 for Mercedes.

Antonio Felix da Costa was only sixth fastest for DS Techeetah ahead of Sergio Sette Camara in the Dragon, who was lucky not to crash at Turn 7 earlier in the session.

The top 10 was rounded out by Audi’s Lucas di Grassi, BMW’s Alexander Sims and Stoffel Vandoorne in the Mercedes.

Andre Lotter set the 11th quickest time in the faster of the two Porsche’s ahead of Edoardo Mortara’s Venturi, Mitch Evans’ Jaguar and Sam Bird’s Envision Virgin was 14th.

Nico Mueller was 15th in the other Dragon entry ahead of James Calado in the Jaguar, and Felipe Massa, who had a big lock-up into Turn 6.

The top-20 was rounded out by Mahindra’s Alex Lynn, Robin Frijns in the Envision Virgin and Oliver Rowland in the Nissan.

Neel Jani was 21st for Porsche ahead of Rene Rast’s Audi and the NIO’s of Oliver Turvey and Daniel Abt.
