Dubourg tops qualifying at Val Thornes

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg topped qualifying ahead of the Val Thrones triple header.

Dubourg, who leads the championship with only three races remaining, was quickest in the first qualifying session.

The DA Racing driver was one of the last drivers to hit the track in qualifying. He set the fastest single lap of the morning and ended Q1 1.453s quicker than second-placed Benjamine Riviere.

Olivier Pernaut topped the second qualifying session, ahead of Yann Ehrlacher and Aurelien Panis.

Despite being sixth after the first two qualifying sessions, Panis put in an impressive run in the Super Pole session. The 46.001s lap was 0.1s quicker than Dubourg’s, and put him second on the grid for the Super Final.

Pernaut had a difficult Super Pole session and lines up third, ahead of Ehrlacher and Riviere.

Nathaneal Berthon completes the Top 3.

Dubourg’s team-mate Nico Prost narrowly missed out on a spot in the Super Pole, ending qualifying P7. He takes pole for the second of the two finals.

Julien Febreau, Sebasiten Loeb and Franck Lagorce complete the Top 10.
