Dennis tops the timesheets in close FP1 session in Berlin

Jake Dennis was fastest in a tight opening practice session ahead of the first round of the Berlin E-Prix.

The British driver, who was confirmed to be staying at Andretti for next season, topped the timesheets with a time of 1m06.949s.

The top seven drivers were within a tenth of a second of Dennis’ time with the whole field separated by 0.983 seconds.

Edoardo Mortara was second fastest for Venturi and Dennis’ teammate Maximillian Guenther came in third position.

Alex Lynn was fourth for Venturi ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne in the DS Techeetah and Mercedes’ Stoffel Vandoorne was sixth.

The top ten was rounded out by Jaguar’s Mitch Evans, Nissan’s Sebastien Buemi, Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein, and Antonio Felix da Costa in the other DS Techeetah.
