Ehrlacher takes pole as Grosjean makes Super Pole debut

Yann Ehrlacher tops qualifying in Andorra as Romain Grosjean makes his 2021-22 Andros eTrophy Super Pole debut.

Ehrlacher was quickest in both qualifying sessions and set the third fastest time in the Super Pole shoot out.

He lines up alongside Aurelian Panis for the Super Final, after Panis ran fastest in Super Pole.

The top three drivers in the opening qualifying session were able to match their performance in qualifying two. Ehrlacher beat Panis and Dorian Boccolacci in both sessions, and lowered his fastest time to make Q2 the faster of the two sessions.

That meant Romain Grosjean, who was fourth quickest in Q2, progressed to Super Pole along with Nico Prost and Nathaneal Berthon.

Panis, out first in Super Pole set the benchmark at 40.727s, a time nobody was able to beat.

Boccolacci came closest, just 1s behind Panis. He ended qualifying third overall, while Grosjean, Prost and Berthon all managed to score equal qualifying points.

Grosjean lines up fourth on the grid, ahead of Prost and Berthon.

It was a difficult qualifying session of Jean-Baptiste Dubourg, who could only manage sixth quickest in Q1 and seventh in Q2. However, it was enough to place him seventh overall and he goes through to the Super Final.

Olivier Pernaut was eighth quickest, putting him on pole for the Final, ahead of Jeremy Sarhy and Louis Gervoson.
