Season 5 calendar revealed at the WMSC

The FIA has announced today the Season 5 calendar of the ABB Formula E Championship. The season format would be similar as this year’s, running from December to July.

The WMSC has approved a 13-race calendar, starting in December 15th in Saudi Arabia. The fully-electric championship, which will see eleven teams on track next season, will move to Africa, afterwards, for the third consecutive Marrakesh ePrix.

A TBA race comes after the Moroccan round. Despite not having been any indication from Formula E on where this race might be taking place in, São Paulo and Buenos Aires appear as the likely candidates, especially considering there is no South American round confirmed.

The series will then move to Asia, where a race in Hong Kong will be held in March 10th, whereas another TBA venue in China will be held in March 23th.

The European leg will start in April 13th, in Rome, and the following races will take place in Paris, Monaco –making a comeback, Berlin, and Zürich.

New York will host a double header season finale, like this season. Rounds 12 and 13 will take place in July 13th and 14th, respectively.

Despite having been approved, the calendar is still subject to circuit homologation, ASN approval, and city approval.
