Andrea PerilliAmerican driver Bryan Sellers has been announced as the latest Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing signing ahead of the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy.
Sellers will team up with Britain’s Katherine Legge, who became the first driver confirmed for the championship in July.
Ohio-born Sellers currently participates in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, at the wheel of a Paul Miller Racing car.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing became the first team announced in the championship which will take place the same weekends as Formula E, acting as its support series.
Owner and IndyCar legend Bobby Rahal commented “Innovation is integral to motorsports and electric car racing is an important part of the future, so this opportunity came at the perfect time for RLL” back in November, when his squad joined the newly-created championship.
The race format, revealed in March this year, will be of 25 minutes plus one lap, following a qualifying session set to take part earlier during race day. The series’ calendar is yet to be confirmed.
