Guenther returns to Dragon for Rome E-Prix

Max Guenther will return to the Dragon Racing outfit for the FIA Formula E Rome E-Prix as he stands in for Felipe Nasr.

Geunther contested the first three rounds of the 2018/19 season, scoring no points, before being replaced by IMSA star Nasr.

Nasr is competing in the Long Beach round for Action Express Racing in IMSA on the same weekend.

The 21-year-old German was running in the points in his last race, the Santiago E-Prix, before a mechanical issue put him out of the race.

Guenther said: “I am very happy to be back at the wheel of the Penske EV-3 #6 in Rome.

“In the past weeks I have supported the GEOX Dragon team as a development driver in the simulator and as a reserve driver at the races on site.

“I can’t wait to race again in the ABB FIA Formula E championship and I will give it my all to score my first points in the series.”

Nasr replaced Guenther for the races in Mexico, Hong Kong and Sanya – also scoring no points in his three races.

He finished 19th in Mexico before crashing out of the Hong Kong race in the opening laps before retiring in Sanya.
