Rowland fastest in final Monaco E-Prix practice session

Oliver Rowland was the quickest driver for Nissan e.dams with a 49.847s in the second practice session ahead of the Formula E Monaco E-Prix.

The DS Techeetah pairing of Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer were second and third respectively and the only other drivers to lap under 50 seconds in the principality.

Alex Lynn was an impressive fourth for Jaguar ahead of the Audi of Lucas di Grassi and Mahindra’s Pascal Wehrlein was sixth fastest.

Seventh quickest was Alex Sims for BMW i Andretti Sport ahead of Venturi’s Felipe Massa, Daniel Abt in the second of the Audi entries and the top ten was rounded out by the Audi powered, Envision Virgin of Sam Bird.

Jerome d’Ambrosio was 11th in the other Mahindra ahead of Antonio Felix da Costa and Stoffel Vandoorne in the HWA.

Edoardo Mortara set the 14th quickest lap for Venturi, despite a recalcitrant handling car which wanted to go seemingly everywhere other than where he wanted it to and was followed by the first Dragon Racing entry of Jose Maria Lopez and the Venturi-powered HWA of Garry Paffett.

Oliver Turvey made up for lost time earlier in the day with the 17th fastest lap and Max Guenther was 18th but will be taking a 10-place grid penalty for his third driving infringement after overspeeding during the full course yellow practice in the opening practice session.

Rounding out the top 20 was Tom Dillmann in the second of the NIOs ahead of Sebastien Buemi for Nissan and the Jaguar of Mitch Evans.
