Dubourg takes pole for Isola 2000 race one

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg claimed pole for the opening Andros e-Trophy race of the weekend at Isola 2000.

The Renault Zoe driver topped both qualifying heats and the Super Pole session on his way to P1 for this evening’s final.

Team-mate Nico Prost lines up alongside him after finishing second in the quicker of the two qualifying heats. Prost topped the times for most of the qualifying heat until his team-mate’s run at the very end of the session.

Aurelien Panis lines up third, despite finishing second quickest in the Super Pole session. His lap was 0.249s slower than Dubourg’s 45.375s time, and just 0.002s quicker than Prost’s.

Nathaneal Berthon and Yann Ehrlacher will line up fourth and fifth. Ehrlacher only qualified fourth in the second qualifying heat but, as Dubourg topped both heats, he made it through to the Super Pole session, where he was fifth overall.

Olivier Panis completes the top six. His Super Pole lap was hindered by severe bodywork damage at the rear of his car. By the end of the lap, the whole rear bodywork became detached and had to be removed from the course before the next driver could head out.

Christophe Ferrier lines up seventh, despite not running in the first qualifying heat, ahead of Quentin Giordano.

Benjamin Riviere and Olivier Pernaut complete the top 10.
