Ehrlacher tops qualifying in Lans en Vercors day two

Yann Ehrlacher leads Andreas Bakkerud in qualifying for the second Andros e-Trophy race at Lans en Vercors.

The Yvan Muller Racing driver missed out on a place in the Super Final yesterday, dropping away from rivals Jean-Baptiste Dubourg and Aurelien Panis in the championship standings.

Panis will join Ehrlacher in the Super Final this evening, but Dubourg could only qualify seventh, putting him at the front for the second half of the field’s race.

Ehrlacher was fastest in the heat stages ahead of Bakkerud, Panis, Nathaneal Berthon, Franck Lagorce and Quentin Giordano. He could only manage third quickest in Super Pole, with Bakkerud topping the times, but it was enough to put him top of the order by the end of qualifying.

Bakkerud lines up second, ahead of Berthon, who’s impressive Super Pole run put him ahead of Panis in the final order.

Giordano took fifth ahead of Lagorce, who suffered a difficult Super Pole session.

Olivier Pernaut was eighth quickest, lining up alongside Dubourg at the front of the grid for the second final.

Friday race winner Benjamin Riviere and Nico Prost complete the top 10.
