Jaguar announces seven races in nine days

The Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy will conclude with seven races across six race days in Berlin.

The announcement follows Formula E’s confirmation that it will hold three double-header events at Tempelhof in Berlin over just two weeks.

Jaguar’s support series will also run at each event, with two races taking place on Sunday 9th August.

The second of the Sunday races will be a ‘Reverse Grid’ race decided by the average finishing positions of the previous four Berlin races.

“The whole team is delighted to get the Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy back on track in Germany,” said series manager Mark Turner. “Having paused the season since Mexico City in February, our entrants and series partners are extremely excited to watch some close all-electric racing once again in Berlin.

“We as a team are working closely with the FIA and Formula E to ensure we all remain aware and compliant of the ever changing COVID-19 situation. We would like to thank the many people involved in trying to find a workable solution at this challenging time for sport and in particular the Formula E organisers.”

VIP drivers are expected to be announced shortly.

The decision means Tempelhof will have hosted seven of the 10 races in the 2019-20 Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy calendar, and will host the final I-PACE race as the series will not return for a third season.
