Di Meglio sets the best time in Le Mans free practices

Alex de Angelis set the fastest time in FP1, while Mike di Meglio did it in FP2 in a humid SHARK Helmets French Grand Prix.

During FP1, OCTO Pramac rider de Angelis placed himself first in the standings with a time of 1:54.595 seconds, ahead of Xavier Simeon of the LCR E-Team. Championship leader Matteo Ferrari took third place, followed by Xavi Cardelus and Niccolo Canepa.

The other OCTO Pramac rider Josh Hook, Niki Tuuli of the Avant Ajo team, and Brazilian Eric Granado of Avintia Esponsorama, Mattia Casadei with his Ongetta Squadracorse, and Jordi Torres of Pons Racing team rounded up the first ten positions. 

Tricky track conditions eased for FP2, and di Meglio, with a time of 1:44.141 seconds, managed to set the fastest lap of both free practice sessions, with a difference of ten seconds with the best time set in FP1.

De Angelis moved into second place, ahead of Casadei, Simeon, and Ferrari.

Canepa, Hook, Torres, Tuuli, and the Dynavolt Interact rider Dominique Aegerter, who is currently in second place in the championship, completed the top ten positions in FP2.
