Berthon tops qualifying for Lans en Vercors race 2

Nathanal Berthon leads Nico Prost in qualifying for the second day of action at Lans en Vercors.

Berthon was quickest in the second qualifying session, managing a time of 2m21.810s, 3.4s quicker than the fastest time achieved in Q1.

The Peugeot driver couldn’t match his single lap pace in the Super Pole session, but a 47.236s lap was enough to put him just 0.03s ahead of the next best driver.

Prost, who was quickest in Q1 and second quickest in Super Pole, will line-up second on the grid.

Prost’s team-mate Jean-Baptiste Dubourg didn’t manage to make it through to the Super Pole session. The championship leader was fifth fastest in the second qualifying session, and ended qualifying P7 overall. Dubourg will start from pole in the second final.

Yann Ehrlacher, second in the championship, lines up third on the grid for the Super Final, ahead of Benjamine Riviere and Aurelien Panis. Olivier Pernaut completed the top six.

Dubourg will be joined on the front row of the grid for the second final by Franck Lagorce.

Quentin Giordano and Louis Gervoson complete the top 10.
