Dubourg makes it two from two at Val Thorens

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg held off Benjamin Riviere to win the penultimate race of the 2020-21 Andros eTrophy championship.

The DA Racing driver has a now almost insummountable lead at the top of the championship standings, lying 47 points ahead of Aurelien Panis with just 67 available from the final race later today.

Riviere got a strong start from second on the grid and was challenging Dubourg in the opening stages of the race. However he couldn’t find a way past and it wasn’t long before Dubourg managed a small gap.

Dubourg finished 1.619s ahead of Riviere, with Panis following through a further 0.485s back.

Nathaneal Berthon spent much of the race battling to hold Olivier Pernaut off in the fight for P4. A strong second lap allowed Pernaut to get alongside the Peugeot driver, but he was unable to find a way through.

Enzo Ide completed the top six.

In the second final, Nico Prost picked up a lights to flag victory, but not without challenge from Yann Ehrlacher in second. Ehrlacher almost managed to slip past the Renault driver early in the race, but Prost held him off and was beginning to pull away slightly by the chequered flag.

Julien Febreau took third ahead of Christophe Ferrier and Louis Gervoson.
