Zaccone on top again in FP2

Alessandro Zaccone has lowered the benchmark again in the second free practice session at Assen.

The Octo Pramac rider, who was fastest in the first practice session, managed a 1m42.809s time around the Dutch circuit, more than a second quicker than his FP1 performance.

Zaccone was the only rider to set a lap time sub-1m43s, with the next quickest driver more than two tenths of a second slower.

Matteo Ferrari set the pace early in the session before Eric Granado jumped to the top of the order. Granado gradually lowered the benchmark, beating Zaccone’s FP1 time with a 1m43.125s lap.

It wouldn’t be enough to keep him top of the order as Zaccone jumped up to P1 but he was able to later improve to go 0.239s slower.

Lukas Tulovic was third quickest ahead of Hikari Okubo and Dominique Aegerter.

Jordi Torres improved late on to put himself P6, just 0.089s behind Aegerter and ahead of Yonny Hernandez.

Ferrari, Xavi Cardelus and Fermin Aldeguer completed the top 10.
