Sebastien Buemi topped the only practice session ahead of Round 2 of the Formula E season ahead of Alex Lynn and Lucas di Grassi.
The Swiss driver set his 200kW qualifying lap towards the end of the session after a number of drivers had topped the timesheets.
Daniel Abt set the pace 15 minutes into the session but he was unable to keep that place as times tumbled throughout the session.
Buemi’s time of 1m02.002seconds was enough to top the time sheets ahead of DS Virgin’s Lynn, who was 0.349s behind.
Lynn had briefly led the session despite getting oversteer through the final corner.
Di Grassi was third ahead of yesterday’s pole-sitter Jean-Eric Vergne and race winner Sam Bird, who was just over half a second behind Buemi.
Mahindra’s Felix Rosenqvist was sixth ahead of Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler driver Daniel Abt.
Rookie Edoardo Mortara continued his impressive start to life in Formula E with eighth place ahead of Nick Heidfeld and Oliver Turvey.
Andretti duo Antonio Felix da Costa and Kamui Kobayashi were 11th and 12th and separated by 0.003s, finishing ahead of Jaguar pair Mitch Evans and Nelson Piquet.
Maro Engel was 15th ahead of Nico Prost, who had another coming together with Dragon’s Jerome d’Ambrosio.
Prost had slowed down to create a gap and at the final corner, d’Ambrosio and Prost made contact. Both were able to continue although Prost’s car suffered damage.
Luca Filippi finished between Prost and d’Ambrosio in 17th, with debutants Andre Lotterer and Neel Jani completing the running order.
