Daniel Abt led an Audi 1-2 in the second and final practice session ahead of the Marrakesh ePrix.
Abt went fastest with a 1:19.760 in free practice two at a foggy and humid Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan.
The Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler driver set the pace early on in the session with a 1:20.494 on 180kw of power but a flurry of 200kw laps late on in the session dropped him down the field. Lucas di Grassi backed up the teams performance with the second fastest time of the session. Sebastian Buemi, the season 2 champion was third fastest for Renault e.Dams.
The cool weather conditions in the session meant that a number of drivers struggled for brake temperature as the likes of Mahindra's Felix Rosenqvist and NIO's Luca Filippi locked up and went down the escape road at Turn 7 while others such as DS Virgin's Sam Bird and Techeetah's Jean-Eric Vergne went wide at Turn 1.
Jaguar showed well in the session with Mitch Evans beating team-mate Nelson Piquet Jr to round out the top five. Alex Lynn was the fastest of the DS Virgin drivers in sixth with Dragon Racing's Jose Maria Lopez doing well to finish seventh fastest.
The team having clearly fixed the software bug that caused their problems in free practice one. Felix Rosenqvist came home in eighth place for Mahindra with the Techeetahs of Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer rounding out the top 10.
Oliver Turvey was 11th for NIO while 12th was the best that Venturi's Edoardo Mortara could manage. Sam Bird came home in 13th place ahead of the two MS&AD Andretti cars of Antonio Felix da Costa and Tom Blomqvist on his series debut. Da Costa had a bit of a moment when he locked the rear of the car on braking but he kept it out of the wall.
Nico Prost had a disappointing session finishing in 16th ahead of Maro Engel for Venturi, Mahindra's Nick Heidfeld, Dragon Racing's Jerome D'Ambrosio with NIO's Filippi rounding up the field in 20th position.
