Gary Holland becomes Dragon’s new Team Manager

Ahead of their Season 5 campaign, Dragon has appointed Gary Holland as the team’s new Team Manager.

As reported by e-racing 365, Gary Holland has been appointed as Dragon Racing’s new team manager in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Holland joins the series after spending the last two and a half years with Jota Sport. With Holland onboard, the British outfit had several successes, including an outstanding result in last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

He will replace the experienced David Stubbs, who joined Dragon after leaving Techeetah last year, having previously worked in Formula One for the Williams, Stewart, and Jaguar teams.

The decision to hire Holland, who started his new job at Dragon at their base at Donington Park on Tuesday, follows last week’s announcement that the American team had appointed Jakob Andreasen as its new chief engineer, who also had experience in F1 with Williams and McLaren.

Holland will be working alongside Andrew Hoadley, a mechanic that has been involved with the team since Season 1. Hoadley chatted with Just Electric’s Editor Andrea earlier this year about what his job as a Formula E mechanic involves.

José María López is expected to be retained ahead of Season 5, whilst Dragon’s Test and Development Driver, Maximilian Günther, is believed to be favoured for a full-time seat ahead of Formula E veteran Jérôme d’Ambrosio.
