Nasr to replace Guenther at Dragon Racing

Former Formula 1 driver Felipe Nasr will make his Formula E debut by replacing Maximilian Guenther at Dragon Racing.

The entry list for the Mexico City E-Prix has Nasr alongside Jose Maria Lopez in the Dragon cars, with Nasr running in the #6 car and Lopez in the #7 – as he has done through Season 5.

Nasr drove for Sauber in Formula 1 in 2015 and 2016 before making a switch to the IMSA Sportscar Championship after losing his seat to now-Mahindra Racing driver Pascal Wehrlein.

He won the title there in 2018 while also finished second in the Daytona 24 hour race in 2017 and 2018.

The Brazilian driver will replace Guenther from the Mexico City E-Prix with Guenther confirming on his Twitter account that he would “return to the car soon”.

He said he would also return to his test and development driver role he was in throughout Season 4.
