The first day of Andros e-Trophy action in Andorra has been cancelled due to a red weather alert, the series has confirmed.
Heavy rain has hit the area, and organisers decided to cancel the first day of running on safety grounds.
“The decision has been made to cancel race one for the safety of all by the Civil Security of the Government of Andorra,” the series said in a statement on its website.
“All the teams are mobilising to allow the smooth running of race two tomorrow.”
Saturday running is currently scheduled to take place between 8am and 2pm local time, bringing the event forward to avoid difficult weather conditions in the afternoon. This is subject to change depending on the weather.
