Super Besse will not host the Andros eTrophy finale

Super Besse will not host the 2021 Andros eTrophy season finale, the series has announced.

The winter sports resort has been the traditional home to the Andros Superfinal in recent years, but coronavirus restrictions has made hosting the 2021 unfeasible.

All professional sports in the area must be played behind closed doors, but the Super Besse event relies on income from fans to go ahead. Other events are funded by local communities and do not face this issue.

Super Besse will be replaced by a three-race event at Val Thorens. Val Thornes was originally scheduled to host the season opener at the start of December, but was postponed. The final round will now take place on January 29th and January 30th.

Andros eTrophy aims to return to Super Besse in 2022.
