Guenther tops curtailed second free practice session

A kerb came out loose halfway through the session causing practice to be stopped, which later got cut short.

Guenther topped the times in the Roman streets. Just 0.192 seconds behind him came season opener winner de Vries.

Fellow Mercedes driver, Vandoorne,  had a good performance, as he finished in third position in this session.

Rowland finished fourth, followed by Mueller completing the Top 5.

In sixth place finished Season 7 rookie Cassidy.

The Jaguar drivers were able to enter the Top 10, as Evans and Bird finished in seventh and ninth position respectively.

Wehrlein sneaked in between them in eighth place, while reigning champion da Costa completed the Top 10 in the FP2 standings.

Jack Nicholls mentioned on the world feed commentary that “We are going to go into qualifying without real evidence of what is going to happen”, due to this practice session being halted.
