Dennis sets the pace in London FP2

Jake Dennis topped the order in final free practice ahead of qualifying for the London E-Prix.

A late red flag, brought out by Dan Ticktum, led to a final flurry of laps once the track went green.

Dennis’ final lap of the session put him top of the order with a time of 1m13.661s around the Excel circuit.

Oliver Rowland joined him at the top of the order, 0.082s off Dennis’ pace. Andre Lotterer was a further 0.007s back.

Dennis topped the times early in the session, but was soon knocked down the order as others found improvements.

Alexander Sims, Stoffel Vandoorne and Nyck de Vries all took turns at the top of the order.

It was the reigning champion who was fastest when the red flags were brought out with nine minutes on the clock. Ticktum had come to a stop at turn six and couldn’t continue.

The green flag waved with three minutes on the clock.

The late improvements knocked de Vries down to P4, just ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Mitch Evans.

Championship leader Stoffel Vandoorne could only go eighth quickest, just under a tenth of a second slower than Maximilian Guenther in P7.

Sergio Sette Camara and Oliver Askew rounded out the top 10.
