Rast breaks records in opening practice session

Rene Rast set the pace, and broke records, ahead of the opening practice session ahead of this weekend’s Portland E-Prix

Rast set the fastest time for Neom McLaren in the opening practice session in Portland with a 1m09.054s, which set a new record for the fastest lap in series history at 102.54 mph. 

Jean-Eric Vergne was second fastest for DS Penske with Dan Ticktum third quickest for NIO 333.

Sam bird was fourth fastest for Jaguar ahead of Maximilian Guenther in fifth for Maserati and Nico Mueller in sixth for Abt Cupra

 Stoffel Vandoorne was seventh quickest in the other DS Penske with Mitch Evans eight fastest in the other Jaguar.

Antonio Felix da Costa was ninth fastest for Porsche and the top-10 was rounded out by Lucas di Grassi in the Mahindra.
