Lucas di Grassi has been an ever present since Formula E started in 2014, and has been an avid advocate for electric racing. In season one it was a three-way fight between di Grassi, fellow Brazilian Nelson Piquet and Sebastien Buemi.
The next season it was a straight fight between Buemi and di Grassi, with Buemi coming out on top to take his first title. And in Season 3, despite Buemi winning five out of the first six races, it was di Grassi who took the title.
Having started Season 4 with some unfortunate races, the Brazilian was able to turn the tables, and was key to Audi’s Teams’ Championship success. Now, he aims to become Formula E’s first ever two-time champion in this new era of electric racing in Season 5.
