Sam Bird is one of a number of drivers who has competed in every race in Formula E history, and has also won races in each of the series’ four seasons. He started with the Virgin Racing team, which later became DS Virgin Racing when it received manufacturer backing from French car manufacturer Citroen, using the luxury DS brand.
Virgin Racing – now named Envision Virgin Racing – became an Audi customer team for Season 5, where Bird will team up with Robin Frijns. The Brit is aiming to add more victories to his Formula E journey, and finally clinch that long-awaited championship.
