Wehrlein tops the standings in Valencia’s morning session

Pascal Wehrlein set the fastest lap in today’s morning session in Valencia.The Mahindra driver set a 1:15.190 to edge out Nico Mueller in the Dragon by 0.008.
Before Wehrlein had set his best lap, The top seven had been separated by less than a tenth of a second.
Antonio Felix da Costa was third quickest for DS Techeetah ahead of the BMW of Maximillian Guenther, Nissan’s Sebastien Buemi and BMW’s Alex Sims.
Sims had caused the session to be ended early due to an incident at the chicane on the pit straight.
Jean Eric Vergne was eighth for DS Techeetah ahead of Venturi’s Felipe Massa and Sam bird rounded out the top 10 for Envision Virgin.
Daniel Abt edged out Lucas di Grassi in the battle of the Audi’s as they set the 11th and 12th fastest times respectively ahead of the Dragon of Brendon Hartley and Venturi’s Edoardo Mortara was 14th.
Stoffel Vandoorne was 15th for Mercedes ahead of Porsche’s Andre Lotterer and Robin Frijns in the second of the Envision Virgin entries.
Oliver Rowland set the 18th quickest time for Nissan with the top 20 rounded out by James Calado in the Jaguar and Nyck de Vries in the Mercedes.
Jerome d’Ambrosio was 21st in the other Mahindra ahead of Neel Jani’s Porsche and the NIOs of Oliver Turvey and Ma Qing Hua rounded out the field.
