A well-known name in the electric racing world, Stephane Sarrazin will drive in the Extreme E series for the Veloce Racing team.
Former Formula E driver Stephane Sarrazin will take part in the Extreme E series' inaugural season. The Frenchman will drive for Veloce Racing, teamming up with Jamie Chadwick who had previously been confirmed.
Sarrazin has vast experience in electric racing, having driven for four seasons in Formula E and being one of the 20 drivers who started in the fully-electric championship's very first race.
The Frenchman has also taken part in numerous rallying championships, including 22 appearances in the FIA World Rally Championship.
Combining both his electric racing and rallying experience many would agree that Extreme E is the series to be in for the 45-year-old.
"This is a hugely appealing new series that has already attracted a lot of international attention. As a driver, the concept is tremendously exciting and motivating - both on a competitive and personal level - and the challenge will be like no other", he expressed.
As for the car he will be driving, the Odyssey 21, Sarrazin said that "I’ve driven a lot of different types of car during my career, but the Odyssey 21 really is something special and it’s going to generate some incredible action".
