Post-qualifying penalty changes semi-finals lineups in Sardinia

Veloce Racing were given a post-qualifying penalty which changed the standings ahead of the semi-finals and Crazy Race for the Island X-Prix on the Italian island of Sardinia.

After suffering a breakage on the front of their car and not being able to complete their qualifying stint, Veloce Racing were penalised. The team, which finished under investigation, will be in the Crazy Race. 

This means that JBXE, which were initially set to run in the Crazy Race, will now be part of the Semi-Final 2 along with Acciona Sainx and the X44 team. 

On the other hand, the ABT CUPRA team, which had qualified for the Semi-Final 2 will now have to face a fight at the Crazy Race. Veloce and ABT CUPRA will be joined by McLaren and Ganassi in this session. 

There were no changes at the top of the standings, where reigning champions Rosberg X Racing remain. The team will face Andretti United and Xite Energy at the Semi-Final 1.
