Pre-season testing lineups confirmed

The entry list for the official Season Five ABB Formula E pre-season test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, has been released.

The three-day test, which takes place between October 16-19, will be the first time all 22-brand new Gen-2 cars will be out on track together.

This will provide the Formula E paddock with an idea as to which team will be on top ahead of the season opening Ad Diriyah ePrix on December 15.

All teams have their regular race drivers testing throughout the three days of testing, with the exception of Dragon Racing.

Antonio Fuoco, a Ferrari Driver Academy driver, and Maximilian Guenther, Dragon’s reserve driver, will share testing duties alongside confirmed race driver Jose Maria Lopez.

And at HWA, Stoffel Vandoorne will be replaced by Dani Juncadella. Vandoorne is seeing out the season with his McLaren-Renault team in Formula 1 and will be driving at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, including Friday practice.

Juncadella has driven for Mahindra in the past.

Mahindra are the only team to not announce at least a partial line-up for Season 5, with an official announcement expected tomorrow.

There are a lot of unknowns to consider, as HWA make their debut in the all-electric series before Mercedes enter as a works teams in Season Six, in addition to Nissan replacing Renault at e.Dams and DS forming a new partnership with Techeetah.

On top of this, series rookies Felipe Massa (Venturi), Alexander Sims (BMW Andretti), Gary Paffett, Stoffel Vandoorne (both HWA) and Alexander Albon (Nissan e.Dams) will all want to demonstrate what they are capable of for their new employers.
