Julius Baer extends global partnership

Julius Baer have extended their global partnership with Formula E until the end of the 2022-23 season.

The private banking group joined the championship ahead of the inaugural Formula E race in in Beijing in 2014, and has been the title sponsor for a number of races.

“We are excited to further extend our global partnership with Formula E, demonstrating our ongoing commitment and reliability as a trusted partner,” said Julius Baer CEO Philipp Rickenbacher.

“Julius Baer played a significant role in the ground-breaking start of the series and we continue to support it now that it has successfully evolved into an indispensable championship.

“With its unique approach and mission to foster innovation towards more sustainable mobility, it reflects the spirit of the times and is attracting ever more interest worldwide.”

Julius Baer has played an important role throughout FE history, but most recently in bringing racing back to its home country.

Motorsport returned to Switzerland after over 60 years with the 2018 Julius Baer Zurich E-Prix, which was won by Lucas di Grassi.

“It is instrumental when building the foundations of a sport and growing a fan base for the future to forge successful long-lasting relationships with partners who believe in the brand and share the same values,” said Formula E CEO Jamie Reigle.

“That is why we are delighted to extend our partnership with Julius Baer for a further two seasons, until the end of the 2022-23 season.

“Julius Baer got behind Formula E’s vision from the beginning, even before turning a wheel in Beijing in the first season, and we very much look forward to building on our shared successes together.”
