Rome and Valencia to host double headers

Rome and Valencia will be double header events, Formula E has announced as the championship reveals the latest round of calendar changes.

Rome and Valencia were scheduled to host the third and fourth races of the season respectively  before the return of the Monaco E-Prix in early May. Marrakesh was also set to return to the calendar in May, replacing the now postponed Seoul E-Prix.

Now the series has made the decision to make both rounds double header events as Formula E adapts to COVID-19 restrictions.

The two Rome E-Prix will take place on April 10th and 11th, with the championship racing at Valencia for the first time on April 24th and 25th.

It’s understood these changes will mean the annual rookie test, which had been scheduled to take place after the Valencia E-Prix, will now be scrapped.

Further calendar changes are expected in the coming weeks.
