Da Costa fastest in Mexico City FP2

Antonio Felix da Costa set the pace in the second practice session in Mexico City for DS Techeetah.

The Portuguese driver set a 1:07.345 time to usurp Andre Lotterer the lead of the FP2 standings late in the session. The Porsche driver had been at the top for the majority of the session.

This was despite a lockup at Turn 1 for da Costa in the early stages of the session, along with another lockup on the way into Turn 5 later on.

Jean-Eric Vergne was third quickest in the other DS Techeetah entry ahead of Nissan’s Sebastien Buemi and Envision’s Nick Cassidy.

Mitch Evans was sixth for Jaguar, the car looking easier to drive than it did in the opening practice session, as Sam Bird was ninth in the sister car.

Between the Jaguar drivers, it was Pascal Wehrlein in the Porsche and Oliver Rowland in the Mahindra.

Lucas di Grassi rounded out the top ten for Venturi.
