Panis P1 in Andorra

Aurelien Panis wins the opening day of Andros eTrophy action at Andorra.

Panis dominated proceedings for the third round of the championship and took maximum points away from the day.

The Sainteloc Racing driver topped the first qualifying session of the day with a three lap time of 2m17.876. It was a time that wouldn’t be beaten in the second session, which was considerably slower.

Olivier Pernaut was quicker in that qualifying session, ahead of Christophe Ferrier, who was P2 in both qualifyings.

The trio were joined in the Super Pole shootout by Yann Ehrlacher, Theophile Nael, and Jean-Baptiste Dubourg.

Panis again led the way during the Super Pole, with a time of 46.430s, 0.819s ahead of Ehrlacher in second.

It was Pernaut – third quickest in the Super Pole – who lined up on the front row of the grid with Panis. He stayed with Panis off the line, but soon had to focus on defending against Ferrier behind.

Panis was able to pull away to finish 2.520s ahead of the battling Pernaut and Ferrier.

Pernaut held onto second, with Ferrier completing the top three.

Ehrlacher took fourth while Dubourg passed Nael early on for P5.

In the other final, Dorian Boccolacci came through to take a decisive win. He started second, behind Sylvian Pussier. Pussier defended well, but Boccolacci was able to find a way through on the third lap.

Once ahead, Boccolacci pulled away, finishing more than six seconds ahead of Pussier, who had Benoit Treluyer to deal with in the final laps. Nathaneal Berthon completed the order.
