Felix Rosenqvist made an instant impact when he made his Formula E debut in Hong Kong, qualifying in sixth place. But it was the Marrakesh ePrix where Rosenqvist stood out.
He qualified second on the grid and finished third in the race to take his first of five podiums in his debut season. In Berlin, Rosenqvist scored a win and second place with only a time penalty for an unsafe release preventing him from doing the double in Germany. Rosenqvist finished third in 2016/17, beating experienced Formula E driver Sam Bird in the drivers’ championship.
At the beginning of Season 4, Rosenqvist had some brilliant performances, winning two more races; but the Swede struggled in the later races, which cost him a place in the title fight.
In 2019, Rosenqvist will contest in the IndyCar series, but prior to his debut in the American championship, he will have his last Formula E race with Mahindra Racing in Saudi Arabia.
