Jimenez leads Bueno in Team Brazil 1-2

Sergio Jimenez led home Caca Bueno in a Team Brazil 1-2 on Saturday in Berlin, as Simon Evans’ title hopes took a dent.

The New Zealander missed the Attack mode on lap 16 after having been right on the tail of Jimenez for the entire race until then.

Evans did recover to complete the podium after Nick Foster took his final attack mode.

The Australian driver had also missed it on Lap 18, but a collision with Allice Powell on the final lap ultimately put paid to his hopes of scoring points.

Powell had defended robustly into the penultimate corner, only to be spun around by Foster after he had been squeezed into the wall.

Powell recovered to finish fifth behind Greg Segers with Fahad Algosaibi winning the pro-am class in sixth.

Takuma Aoki was seventh ahead of Abbie Eaton in the guest car, Paul Spooner and Adalberto Baptista were the last of the finishers in tenth.
