Jimenez tops free practice in Berlin

Sergio Jimenez flew to the top of the timesheets in free practice ahead of the first Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY race this weekend in Berlin.

The Brazillian driver set the pace with a 1:24.219 and was 0.157 quicker than his ZEG iCarros Jaguar Brazil teammate, Caca Bueno.

Nick Foster was third quickest for Jaguar China Racing ahead of Simon Evans, Alice Powell and Foster’s teammate, Greg Segers.

Fahad Algosaibi was seventh fastest overall to take pole position in the Pro-Am class ahead of Adalberto Baptista and Abbie Eaton, who is in the VIP Guest car.

Takuma Aoki was tenth for Team Yokohama Challenge and, the field was rounded out by Paul Spooner, who is also the team manager for Saudi Racing.

Qualifying ahead of today’s race, the sixth of the season, starts at 12:40pm local time.
