Stéphane Sarrazin: “Race was difficult with energy management”

Stephane Sarrazin’s return to Formula E was a mixture of highs and lows with a good qualifying session also being countered with a crash in Free Practice 1 and a difficult race as he learned about his Andretti car.

After the race, he reflected on the weekend. “Qualy was not bad compared to my teammate and the race was difficult, really difficult with energy management.

“I did two mistakes and I consumed far too much so we need to improve it for Zurich”, he commented, looking forward to the next round in Zürich, Switzerland.

The Frenchman also thought that having the next round in a new city for Formula E would be beneficial in terms of closing the gap between the different teams.

“It’s great to discover a new track and I hope Zurich will be a nice layout so we’ll see. It will be a nice race!”.

He also stressed the importance of using the simulators to learn about the car and the circuit adding: “It’s very important to be on the sim, to work on the sim for energy management. All the systems, I need to learn still, the team. So it’s good to spend a few days on the sim, for sure”.

Sarrazin, a well-known figure within the Formula E paddock, will race with the MS&AD Andretti team until the season finale in New York in mid-July.
