Daniel Abt will drive for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler in the 2018/2019 Formula E season after his contract with the Audi outfit was extended.
The German driver, who has won two races on track this season in Mexico and Berlin, will continue to drive alongside reigning champion Lucas di Grassi.
The news was announced ahead of this week’s Zurich ePrix.
The pair have been together since the inaugural Formula E race in Beijing back in 2014 and have claimed eight wins between them.
Abt came into season four as a man under pressure when Audi became a works team in Formula E after he was promoted to an Audi factory driver.
But two wins, and another taken away from him after a technical infringement, have convinced the German outfit to renew his contract.
Head of Motorsport at Audi Dieter Gass said: “Daniel has been showing strong performances in succession this season and in my view has enormously developed further both on and off the race track.
“Formula E with new cars and changed regulations is at the beginning of a new era. With our proven German-Brazilian duo we intend to attack again.”
Abt said: “For me, it continues to be an honour to represent the four rings in Formula E. I am delighted about the trust that Audi and the entire team places in me and am trying to give my all to reward this trust with good results.”
