Dillmann and Turvey confirmed at NIO for 2018-19 season

NIO Formula E Team have confirmed their driver line-up for the fifth FIA Formula E campaign, with Oliver Turvey staying on at the Chinese squad and Tom Dillmann signing up as his team-mate.

Turvey first joined the NIO squad (then known as NextEV) back in 2015 during the championship’s first season, driving in the season-closing double-header in London.

The 31-year-old has stayed on with the team ever since, competing in 34 races with a best finishing position of second in Mexico City last season.

Joining the British driver at NIO for the 2018-19 season will be French racer Tom Dillmann, who raced two part-seasons with the Venturi squad but will now compete in his first full-time season in the all-electric series.

Dillmann started the last seven races of the 2016-17 campaign, scoring points on four separate occasions; while he competed in three races in 2017-18, with a best finish of fourth in the Saturday race in New York.

The team also unveiled their season five challenger at today’s launch event, as the NIO 004 was revealed to the world for the first time in full livery.
