Katherine Legge leads Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing 1-2 in I-Pace qualifying

Katherine Legge claimed pole for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in the first Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy front row lock-out in qualifying for the second round of the championship in Mexico City.

Legge beat RLL Racing team-mate Bryan Sellers by almost three tenths of a second as RLL Racing claimed a one-two on the grid.

Legge topped the time midway through the session with a 1m14.210s, almost three tenths of a second faster than the next closest driver.

Team-mate Sellers tried to close the gap to Legge over the second half of the season, but could only manage a time 0.273s slower.

Simon Evans spent most of the session at the back of the Pro class, but managed jumped up the order in the closing laps to take third, ahead of Jaguar VIP driver Salvador Duran.

Caca Bueno took fifth, ahead of TWR Techeetah’s Stefan Rzadzinkski and Sergio Jimenez.

Bandar Alesayi was the fastest pro-am driver and eighth overall, ahead of Yaqi Zhang and Ahmed Bin-Khanen.
