French GT team Ducastel Race Performance joins Andros eTrophy

Olivier Panis and Enzo Ide are among the six Elite Pro drivers that will race with Ducastle Race Performance in the 2020-21 Andros eTrophy.

The French GT outfit will make their debut in the championship, fielding two Andros Sport cars and four Elite Pro drivers.

Panis, who spent last season racing with Sebastien Loeb Racing, will only compete in one round of the upcoming season.

The #33 car will be piloted by Enzo Ide for the first three rounds of the season, before being taken over by Lionel Daziano. Daziano will compete for two rounds with Panis taking the remaining round.

Ide will be making his Andros debut this season. The Belgian racer has spent most of his career competing in various GT championships and took the 2016 Blancpain GT championship.

After suffering an injury at home in August 2019, Ide spent almost five months in a medically induced coma.

Despite the injury, Ide signed up for the 2020 European Rallycross championship. However, the coronavirus pandemic limited the European championship to just two rounds, and Ide didn’t compete. He did join the World Rallycross championship for the final round of the season, finishing 13th and 12th in the two events.

Experienced Trophy Andros driver Louis Rousset will drive the car in the Elite category.

The #6 car will be driven by Christophe Ferrier for the entire season. The four-time electric class champion finished ninth overall last season.

Father-son duo Joel and Kevin Lopez will share Elite duties.
